August 2018 - May 2020

On scholarship for two years, Josh is pursuing his CyberSecurity qualifications. "As communication systems become ever more complex, the skills needed to design, support, and keep those systems secure increase also. In the Cyber Security program, we will learn to configure routers and switches, maintain wide area networks, and develop the processes necessary to provide the level of security that modern work demands. In this program we will receive the training and education that will make students eligible for certification exams such as Cisco Certified Entry Network Associate (CCENT), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Associate Security (CCNAS), CompTIA, Security +, A+, Network+, and Security Certified Network Professional (SCNP). We also have the opportunity to select optional courses in Linux and Sun Solaris."

2015 - 2018 Francis Tuttle
Pre-Engineering Academy

Pre-Engineering Student
August 2015 – May 2018

Each year, 180 sophomores are selected to participate in this Pre-Engineeing Academy. After interviewing and being accepted into Francis Tuttle's Pre-Engineering Academy my sophomore year, I continued in the engineering program for three years and completed my senior project on cybersecurity. This challenging experience teaches how to juggle multiple responsibilities and master the art of time management in a college environment.

For the required senior year Engineering Design and Development (EDD) Project, with a team of four engineering students, we participated in the CyberPatriot Competition and reached the Platinum tier, we were one team away from competing nationally, and we were also out performing teams in the CyberPatriot Competition who had three years of experience. A great accomplishment as it is the first time this academy has participated in this national competition.
